Status of Reports

After Sunday morning's database changes, some of the reports are not functioning.  I'm working to resolve this.  Some of the reports will be online again later on Monday.  I'll work to sort out any remaining issues after that.  I had some issues come up which didn't appear in my development environment, so I'm fixing those.  The good news is that it's giving me a chance to gut some older code which I hadn't gotten around to cleaning up, so I'll get that out of the way while I implement these fixes.

Planned Downtime 2014-08-10

There's almost never any planned WunderCounter downtime, but tomorrow I need to migrate one of the databases to some new hardware. It would be hard to do this without downtime and still keep all of the numbers in sync, so there will be a short period of downtime tomorrow (August 10), probably between 7 and 10 AM EST.  It could be up to 20 minutes, but may well be less than 10.  Both the main WunderCounter site and the reporting area will be offline during this time.

This is necessary to get the databases of some aging equipment to a new server with SSDs and 8 times the amount of RAM which the database servers currently have.  The rest of the migration will take place slowly over the next week or two and shouldn't have any noticeable downtime.  Once that is complete you should see a boost in speed when accessing reports etc.

Browser Blocking Fixed

Browser blocking was accidentally disabled by a recent upgrade and several people have reported the bug.  I've just deployed a fix for this.  As part of the change I rewrote a lot of the internals and also added a lot of tests to ensure that future deployments go more smoothly.

If you notice any issues with browser blocking or anything else, please let me know.

If you want to enable browser blocking, you can do so via the links on your "Account Options" page, which can be found under the "Options" menu.
